The idea
Configuring variants, text, and nested layers gets repetitive when multiple instances need the same result. I built Properties Copycat to use one instance as the source and apply its settings to other instances of the same component, clearly indicating what was copied and what needs review.
Copy and paste
I split the flow into selecting a source, copying its properties, and applying them to other instances of the same component.

Component properties
I included variants, booleans, text, and instance swaps, along with compatible variable bindings.
Variables
I retained source references for spacing, radius, sizing, opacity, fills, and strokes, keeping the link to design tokens intact.
Nested instances
I matched layers by name and type, even when their order differed. Incompatible cases are surfaced as warnings.

Copying works between instances of the same component. For mixed-format text, shared formatting is preserved. Effects and layout grids are not copied.
